CellMed has developed diverse intellectual property rights regarding a family of peptides in the field of GLP-1. On the basis of this technology, the Group entered into a development and Option-to-Licence Agreement in December 2008.

Fresenius

CellMed has developed a haemoglobin test kit for the testing of the haemoglobin level in human blood which is primarily sold to blood banks and doctors' surgeries. The kit consists of a diagnostic instrument (photometer) and a disposable (micro-cuvette).

Fresenius is one of the leading suppliers in the blood bank business and offers several products that are required for blood donation.

Fresenius who is one of the leading suppliers to blood banks and dialysis centres has acquired a worldwide distribution licence for the blood bank, hospital and dialysis market for the haemoglobin kit.

Distribution franchises are currently available for the worldwide doctor’s surgery / practice market (GPs, gynaecologists, etc.).

Merz Group

The cosmetic dermatology programme is carried out in partnership with the pharmaceuticals subsidiary of the Merz Group, which is located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany and is focused on the dermal filler market segment.

Dermal filler products address the market for the cosmetic treatment of facial wrinkles and for skin augmentation. They are injected in a non-surgical procedure. Merz selected CellMed’s technology because it was looking for a next-generation material to improve on the products that make up the $900m US market.
